You can also keep your home comfortable by controlling compatible smart devices like lights and thermostats, even while you're away. The built-in camera lets you see more by allowing you to check in on your family, pets, and more, or view the front door from your Echo Show 5 with compatible video doorbells. Additionally, you can set the background to a rotating slideshow of your favorite photos when the device is not in use, and Prime members also get unlimited cloud photo storage.

Stay connected with friends and family through video calling using the 2 MP camera, and make announcements to other compatible devices in your home. Designed to protect your privacy, Amazon has built multiple layers of privacy controls into the device, including a mic/camera off button and built-in camera shutter, as well as support for viewing end-to-end encrypted Ring video.

Echo Show 5 is also designed for sustainability, with its fabric made from 100% post-consumer recycled polyester yarn, and aluminum made from 100% recycled aluminum. The device packaging is 100% recyclable.
